3 Concepts, 2 Frameworks, 1 Proverb Pic - Newsletter #3

Happy Sunday! This is the Christian Entrepreneur, the weekly newsletter that helps Christian entrepreneurs like you say mmhmm that's good. Like Campbell's chicken noodle soup 🥣
Let's slurp up my 3 Concepts, 2 Frameworks, and 1 Proverb Pic!
3 Growth concepts from others.
Concept #1
The job of an entrepreneur is not to create demand. It’s to find it and satisfy it. The best idea in the world is worth $0 until someone wants it. - Noah Kagan
My Takeaway: This goes against popular entrepreneurial beliefs and it's 100% correct. A half-baked idea that is executed is better than a brilliant idea that never gets done. Most people settle for "feeling entrepreneurial" by discussing their lofty ideas that could be multi-billion dollar companies yet take no action on that idea. Most ideas never come to life.
It is nearly impossible to create demand for something that people don't need. Would you like to buy a rocket ship? No? That's because you probably don't need one. Real entrepreneurs see a need and satisfy it. They see a problem and solve it. They just help people. It's that simple. The best and quickest way to become an entrepreneur is to solve somebody's problem and ask them to pay you for it. Call someone and ask them, what is on your to-do list that hasn't been completed that you would pay me to do for you.
Concept #2
"All benefits in life come from compound interest, whether in money, relationships, love, health, activities, or habits." - Naval
My Takeaway: Invest in important things. My family is the result of the compound interest that I invested in my dating relationship with my wife almost 15 years ago. The trust we built while dating has been a firm foundation for us to build our family, businesses, and lives on. We are still building trust every day. My business is the result of the compound interest that I've invested in my team, our product, and my investors. The little wins that we get every day within the business are like bricks. Every day we stack bricks one on top of the other and now we look back at the company that we have built-in amazement. We are still stacking bricks every day.
Concept #3
Not everything that matters can be measured. Not everything that we can measure matters. - Hiten Shah
My Takeaway: If you want to improve something it must be measured. Step on the scale every day, and you will be more conscious of what you eat. Use cash only for every purchase and you will save more. We must identify what actually matters so that we can measure what matters. And once we know those things that matter but that cannot be measured that is when we turn to God and ask for his help. The growth that cannot be measured, like wealth, love, and our spiritual growth, is a gift of grace.
2 Personal frameworks
1. Stress is a decision that has not been made or an action not yet taken
Let stress be a trigger for you to take action. You will feel better taking the wrong action than no action at all. We add to stress when we know that something needs to be done but we avoid it. This causes us more pain, over a longer period of time than just doing the action needed. Go to the dentist. Let go of that employee. Get it off your plate.
2. What is your consumption vs production ratio?
We are constipated 💩. What I mean is that we consume many times over what we produce and expend. What happens as a result? We get fat, sluggish, and constipated. Health is a balanced consumption vs production ratio. Healthy cells die and new ones are created. Cells that do nothing but consume and grow are called cancer. We need to inhale, but we also need to exhale. This newsletter is a by-product of that. I was consuming so much faith and business content I needed a way to share.
We don't need more information, more data, or more how-tos. We need to go create and make stuff. Try this, rather than reading, write. Rather than listening to music, sing. Rather than listing to sermons, share the gospel. Rather than spending, save. Rather than craving attention, give it. Rather than consuming, produce. When you do that, you will see your endless hunger satisfied.
1 Proverb Pic
A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:2
My Takeaway: This proverb is about what we prioritize vs what God prioritizes. We prioritize our goals but God prioritizes our character. There is nothing wrong with setting goals and walking toward them. We tend to weigh our self-worth on achieving our goals. But what does it profit a man to gain the whole world yet forfeit his soul? Rather than saying that "our goals" are the goal, we must make being close to Jesus the goal. When he is the goal, how we go through life changes. The path is less anxious, less pressured, and more fun because we are walking toward Him. Then, the path is not a means to an end but the path is a means to refining our character and sanctifying us. What matters to God is not the goals we achieve but our Christ-likeness.

Genesis 1:1- “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth”. The word "created" (ex nihilo) emphasizes a crucial point that God created out of nothing.
Similarly, entrepreneurship is creating as God creates. We make something out of nothing. Thanks for being a part of this community of entrepreneurs and creating something out of nothing. ❤️ Erick VargasP.S. This newsletter is new! So, I want to hear from you.
