3 Growth concepts from others.

Concept #1

If you are waiting to get permission from the folks at the top to join them... That permission will never come. Take it into your own hands. - Nick Huber

My Takeaway: Those at the top are not necessarily thinking about empowering you. They are dealing with their own problems. Like we all are! So rather than waiting for permission, it's time to take charge of your dreams and start that business you've been thinking about. Don't wait for permission from anyone else - the most successful entrepreneurs don't. They take initiative and make things happen, without waiting for approval. Stop holding yourself back, and start taking action toward your goals. You have what it takes to make it happen, so don't let anything hold you back.

Concept #2

Whenever I’m having an exceptionally bad day my ‘go to’ reframe is always “This will make for a great story” - Leila Hormozi

My Takeaway: Do you say, "why does this happen to ME." If you do, you are making things harder for yourself. You are making yourself the victim. The reality is that no one is out to get you. That is a tough pill to swallow because your situation is a result of your actions. When you change your frame to "This will make for a great story" you mentally position yourself as someone who overcomes challenges and learns from the obstacles placed in front of them. Every great story has high points and low points, and so will yours. That's what makes it a great story.

Concept #3

While amateurs look for advanced tactics, professionals practice the basics. - Noah Kegan

My Takeaway: Very few put in the work. Put in the work every day for a long time and you will win. It is that simple. The problem is you keep changing directions every 18 months. Do something for 5 years and you will be amazed. Kobe Bryant, famously said, "I never left the court until I got things exactly the way I wanted them." For Bryant, the practice wasn't just about physical conditioning; it was also about mental preparation. This is where we fall short. He would visualize his plays and mentally rehearse them before executing them on the court, which helped him stay focused and confident during games. To be great, be better at the basics than anyone else for a long time.

2 Personal frameworks

1. To-do list < One Big Thing

Here is the problem with To-Do List. They become a way to avoid the important things and fool ourselves that we are being productive. If you look at most people's To-Do List and how they tackle them, they have quick wins at the top and the heavy lifting items at the bottom of the list. So you can make it 90% of the way through your To-Do List and still not be productive in moving the ball forward toward your goal. The better approach is to do one big thing a day. You will find that there is ample time to do all the little things on your To-Do List. Get the big stressful thing off your back, and you will have the wind in your sails.

2. Developing Character and Skills > Goals and Achievements

70% of lottery winners end up broke. Why? They didn't earn it. They didn't build the financial skills and their character to manage that kind of money. When you focus on developing your character and skills, no one can take those away from you. If you lose it all, you will have the character and skills to rebuild. Spiritually, if you could have Heaven but God was not there, would you still want it? Love the Giver not the gift. Love the journey, not the destination.

1 Proverb Pic

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes. Proverbs 26:4-5

My Takeaway: This proverb is about personal restraint and wisdom when engaging with people. The quickest way to be foolish is to engage in foolishness. This proverb rebukes us HARD in our social media world. This proverb tells us NOT to engage with THAT guy on social media. You know the guy I am talking about. His mind won't be changed by your insight. He won't see it from your perspective. He is not missing a piece of information that you will provide. The wise person does not even respond to the fool or "you yourself will be just like him." In other words, “Never wrestle with a pig because you'll both get dirty, and the pig likes it." The proper way to engage is not to engage. Don't give it oxygen. Let the foolishness disappear in isolation. Only God can change hearts and give wisdom.

Entrepnueship is creating as God creates. Something out of nothing. Thanks for being a part of my journey and this community!
